Liability Waiver and Release Policy

  • Risk Acknowledgment: It is recognised that engaging in Muay Thai and other physical exercises can be intense and present risks of accidents or injuries. Members are fully aware of these risks and hazards and voluntarily choose to partake in these activities, accepting all potential risks.
  • Release of Liability: Members agree to release, discharge, and refrain from suing the Academy, its management, staff, trainers, agents, and other members for any injuries, death, or loss or damage to personal property that may arise from, or be in any way connected to, their participation in the Academy’s activities.
  • Health and Medical Consent: Members declare that they are in good physical condition and capable of participating in the strenuous activities involved in Muay Thai training. They commit to informing the Academy and its trainers about any medical conditions, injuries, or other health-related issues that might affect their ability to participate in the classes.
  • Media Consent: Consent is provided for the use of the members’ images or likenesses in photographs, videos, or other media taken during Academy activities for promotional purposes.
  • Indemnification: Members agree to indemnify and hold the Academy harmless from any claims, actions, suits, costs, expenses, damages, and liabilities, including attorney’s fees, that arise as a result of their involvement in the Academy’s activities, and to reimburse the Academy for any such expenses incurred.

Membership Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • Cancellation Request: All requests for membership cancellation must be submitted in writing to the Academy’s administration office or via the official email address provided by the Academy. The cancellation request must include the member’s full name, membership ID, and reason for cancellation.
  • Review of Cancellation: The Academy will review each cancellation request individually. Only cancellations due to personal medical conditions and relocation outside of Singapore will be considered for approval.
  • Notice Period: A notice period of 30 days is required for all cancellations. The membership will remain active, and the member will have access to the Academy’s facilities and classes during the notice period.
  • Refund Eligibility: Refunds will only be considered for memberships that have a remaining term of more than one month from the date of cancellation. No refunds will be provided for memberships with less than one month remaining term.
  • Refund Calculation: The refund amount will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, based on the remaining term of the membership. An administrative fee of 10% of the refund amount will be deducted from the final refund.
  • Refund Processing: Refunds will be processed within 30 days of the approval of the cancellation request. The refund will be made via the original payment method used by the member.
  • No Refund for Promotional Memberships: Memberships purchased under promotional offers or discounted rates are non-refundable.
  • Exceptions: Exceptions to this policy may be considered in cases of medical emergencies or other exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of the Academy’s management.

  • Integrity: Be honest and uphold the values of the Academy. Report any incidents of misconduct or violations of this code of conduct to the Academy’s management.
  • Discipline: Be disciplined in your training and committed to your goals. Follow the instructions and guidance of the trainers and staff.
  • No Discrimination or Harassment: The Academy has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination or harassment of any kind. Any such behaviour will result in immediate action.

Membership Freeze Policy

  • Notification Requirement: The member agrees to notify the gym at least 14 days in advance of the intended overseas travel or assignment period.
  • Freeze Allowance: Only one freeze allowed within a 12-month period. Maximum freeze period is 3 months with valid reasons (health, injury, pregnancy, or official outstation for more than 1 week).
  • Admin Fee: Members must pay an admin fee of $20 for the freeze application.
  • Access Restrictions During Freeze: During the freeze period, members are not allowed to access the gym, book classes, or attend other training conducted by the Academy.
  • Eligibility for Overseas Assignments: Only members assigned overseas by their company are eligible for a membership freeze or extension under this policy. Overseas trips for holiday purposes are not included.
  • Proof of Overseas Assignment: The member is required to provide proof of overseas assignment, such as travel itineraries, company assignment letters, visa details, or accommodation reservations, to be eligible for the membership freeze or extension.
  • Reactivation: Upon return from or completion of the overseas assignment, or upon the conclusion of the circumstances warranting a freeze (pregnancy, hospitalisation), the member’s membership will automatically be reactivated, and the extended or frozen term will expire.

Class Scheduling and Cancellation Policy

  • Class Scheduling: Classes must be booked in advance through our online booking system. Private/Personal Training classes must be booked in advance through our gym’s hotline/customer service. Members are advised to check the class schedule regularly for any updates or changes.
  • Class Cancellations by Members: If you are unable to attend a class you have booked, please cancel your reservation at least 2 hours in advance via the online booking system. Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the class starts will result in the loss of that session, and no refund will be provided.
  • No-Show Penalty: Members who fail to show up for a class without cancelling will be considered a “no-show.” Members can now cancel booked classes up to 2 hours in advance. After this period, the class credit will be consumed, even when there is no show.
  • Session-Based Packages: For members with session-based packages, a no-show will result in the consumption of one class credit.
  • Unlimited Memberships: For members with unlimited memberships, a no-show will count as a strike. If a member accumulates three or more no-shows, they will face a temporary 1-week ban from booking classes in the system.

During the ban period, the membership will continue to run without pause or extension. This policy ensures fairness and encourages all members to be considerate of their bookings, allowing other members the opportunity to attend classes.

  • Class Cancellations by Prakaipetch Muay Thai Academy: The Academy reserves the right to cancel classes due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather, instructor illness, or other emergencies. In such cases, members will be notified as soon as possible, and an alternative class will be offered.
